These segments are processed sequentially by a global, trusted entry point contract on-chain, which coordinates the lifecycle of the execution. The entry point contract acts as an immutable, impartial router that parses the intent segmentation without needing to understand the underlying logic of each individual segment. The first 32 bytes of each segment define a specific standardId, which references a registered, external Intent Standard Contract. The entry point contract validates the sender and routes the segment data to the corresponding standard contract, which is programmed to handle that specific format of intent execution. To execute these intents on-chain, off-chain solvers collect multiple UserIntents from a public, decentralized mempool and combine them into a single, cohesive IntentSolution object. Solvers look for matching intents that can satisfy each other, such as pairing a player who wants to sell gold for mana with another player wanting to buy gold with mana. The solver packages these overlapping intents, defines the optimal execution sequence using an order array, and submits the unified transaction to the entry point contract’s handleIntents function. This combined execution dramatically reduces gas overhead and eliminates intermediate bridging or routing fees. To ensure absolute security during complex, multi-party matches, ERC-7521 enforces atomic execution across the entire IntentSolution. When the entry point contract processes a solver's solution, every nested UserIntent must be successfully satisfied according to its specified constraints. If a single intent within the bundle cannot be fulfilled—such as an asset price shifting beyond a user's defined slippage limit—the entire transaction rolls back immediately. This atomic safeguard prevents solvers from executing partial fills or extracting user assets without delivering the exact requested outputs, maintaining complete economic integrity. Ultimately, the implementation of ERC-7521 future-proofs smart contract wallets by standardizing how intents are signed, verified, and settled. Wallets do not need to undergo risky and expensive smart contract upgrades to support new bridging, trading, or gaming protocols as they are developed. Instead, developers simply deploy new off-chain intent standards that users can opt-in to at sign-time, drastically accelerating the pace of innovation.
